Processing conditions

  • The process condition of ANYPOLⅡ might be changed according to the particle size, the expandability, a kind of the equipment, aging time of materials, etc. .
  • Main processing conditions are generally as follows.
Pre-expansion
  • In order to mold at the desired density, this stage is important.
  • The pre-expansion is carried out in pre-expander by using controlled steam.
  • With Batch-type operating, ANYPOL Ⅱ can be pre-expanded down to densities of approx. 14 g/ℓ.
  • In order to lower a density below 14 g/ℓ , It is recommended to carry out pre-expansion twice.
Maturing Time <Tropical climate>
  • Maturing time depends on the density, moulding process, etc. .
  • In case of 15~25g/ℓ of density, it is required to mature for 4 ~ 18 hr.
  • In case of 25g~30g/ℓ of density, from 8~ 36 hr.
  • In case of that pre-expansion is carried out twice, the first pre-expanded bead is required to be aged 3 ~ 6hr before the second pre-expansion.
Moulding
  • Molding is carried out with 2~3kgf/cm2 of pressure of saturated steam.
  • Molding process depends on both molding conditions and densities.
  • It is controlled by a steaming time and pressure.
  • The cycle time of ANYPOLⅡ is very fast compared to the conventional EPS.
  • Moreover, it yields very well fused insulation boards.
Cutting
  • The cutting wire of the molding product has to be used by a nichrome wire or an alloy of the nichrome.
  • The temperature of the cutting wire is generally 170~250℃.

Safety instructions

  • Generally, ANYPOLⅡ is not classified as a harmful or dangerous material.
  • However, caution needs to be taken in handling.
  • ANYPOLⅡ products and the finished molding products should not be exposed to ignition sources in processing area and warehouse.
  • Proper ventilation in all processing area is required to avoid accumulation of blowing agent.
